Adah and Zillah were the two wives of Lamech the son of Mathushael.
The Bible briefly mentions the wives of Lamech in Genesis 4: 19-23. It states that Lamech took two wives for himself: Adah first, then Zillah. Adah bore Jabal and Jubal. Jabal was the father of the tent dwellers and those who have livestock. Jubal was the father of the harp and flute players. Zillah gave birth to Tubal-Cain, the instructor of every craftsman of bronze and iron, and his sister, Naamah. Lamech then told his wives that he killed a young man for wounding him and proclaimed that if Cain should be avenged sevenfold, then Lamech should be avenged seventy-sevenfold.
- Adah is not to be confused with Adah, the wife of Esau.
